Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor types a name, location, or other term into a search box, the query goes to the independent provider that operates that tool. Leake County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms apply to its receipt and processing of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact-form submission may include a name, return address, and whatever information the sender chooses to provide. We keep that material as needed to read and answer the message. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine server, analytics, and advertising systems may receive basic technical details when a page loads. These details help operate the site and understand aggregate use.
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- The browser name and version
- The device class and operating system
- The pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time of the request
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies may be used to measure visits, remember limited preferences, and understand how people move through the site. A browser can reject or remove cookies. Some site or partner features may work differently when that storage is disabled.
How Information Is Used
Collected information is used only for ordinary site operations, communication, measurement, and partner delivery.
- Maintain page availability, speed, and basic function
- Send a search request to the provider chosen by the visitor
- Measure which Leake County record pages are useful
- Detect errors, abuse, and technical failures
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Government and Outside Links
Links may lead to the Leake County Sheriff, MDOC, courts, federal locators, public-record sources, or independent search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s own privacy policy and terms control. The Mississippi Public Records Act, including Miss. Code Ann. §§ 25-61-5 and 25-61-7, governs qualifying requests to Mississippi public bodies. It does not turn this private site into a government records custodian.
Advertising companies may use their own cookies or similar methods to study activity across websites and tailor ads. That tracking occurs through their systems and is governed by their policies, not by the practices of the Leake County Sheriff, MDOC, or this site.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still reach a limited set of service providers or public authorities as part of the functions described here.
- Search partners that receive and process a submitted query
- Analytics vendors that measure site performance and use
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Safeguarding Information
Reasonable administrative and technical practices are used to protect information under our control. No internet transmission, connected service, or storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure will never occur.

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, a deletion request may be sent through the Get in Touch page.
